The church dedicated to “Transfiguration” in the neighborhood of Capu-Câmpului was built in 1892, replacing a small wooden church. The church has a simple but stately architecture, leaving a pleasant sensation of slenderness and massiveness at the same time. The interior was painted by George Stoenescu, disciple of the great painter Gheorghe Tattarescu
